served as runners with Israel's Torch of Independence

Rayberg, Shlomo Mandel and Sandy Lee. The torch was
a gift from Israel to the people of Detroit on the Jewish
state's 25th anniversary. The 11 teams of runners, who
each bore the name of one of the Israeli athletes slain
at Munich. carried the torch olympie•style from the
10 Mile Jewish Center to the main building on Curtis
and Meyers, where a presentation ceremony took place.

Zionism — Recycled," 8:30

Zionist Institute. Dr. Judah
Shapiro will speak on the
"Problem in Jewish Commu-
nity Affairs" for today's La-
bor Zionist. Dr. Shapiro, na-
tional president of the Labor
Zionist Alliance and editor
of the Jewish Frontier mag-
azine, serves as professor of
contemporary Jewish thought
at Hebrew Union College.
The forum is open to the
public, students at half price.
