Nov. 19- 26, Dr. Paul W. McCracken, national chair ma n, an- nounced. Closed TEL AVIV (ZINS) — The official statistical bureau of the Israel government re- ports there will be approxi- mately 1,600,000 Arabs resi- dent in the state of Israel by the year 1975. Some 500,000 will be located in areas that were part of Israel before the Six-Day War, while 1,100,000 will be living in areas liberated dur- ing the war. According to the govern- ment survey, the Jewish population in 1975 should number some 2,900,000, pro- vided that the current rate of immigration is continued and there is no decline in the natural birth rate. By 1975, Arabs will consti- tute 40 per cent of Israel's over-all population. In an editorial comment on these statistics, the Hebrew daily liaaretz writes that by 1975 Israel will be practical- ly speaking, a "bi-national state."
