Computer science is part of an intensive study course for 25 high
school students from the U.S.A. who have been attending a 7.week
summer science program at the Technion, Israel Institute of Techno-
logy. During their stay in Israel the teenagers hear lectures and do
laboratory work in several fields of science and technology, including
computer science, bio-medical engineering, environmental control and
general studies on life in Israel. During their stay. they also tour the
country. The IBM 370/165 computer, located in the Taub Computer
Center at the Technion, is the most modern computer of its kind in
