Detroit Tennis Club
Now in Farmington

Detroit's oldest non-profit
private tennis club opened
its new million dollar sports
complex on Drake Rd., south
of 14 Mile Rd., in Farming-
ton Township. The Detroit
Tennis and Squash Club
headquarters previously were
located on Grove Ave.
The new club features 13
terraced and wind-screened
outdoor Har-true surface
courts. The club house con-
tains four additional glare-
free indoor courts and two
air-conditioned squash courts
to provide members year-
round play. An observation
gallery overlooks the indoor
courts.
There are carpeted, pri-
vate dressing rooms with
lockers and showers for men
and women. The men's sec-
tion contains a steam room
and whirlpool bath. There is
a dining room and lounge, a
teen room for junior mem-
bers, and a complete pro
shop.
Family a nd individual
memberships are available.
Applications may be obtained
at the club headquarters.
