Bnai Brith to Hold
Miss Fishier Becomes
[fife of Donald Resnick Golf Stag Aug. 23

Bnai Brith will present a
golf stag Aug. 23 at Grand Blanc
Golf Club. Tee off time is by
reservation and dinner will begin
at 7 p.m. There will be games and
prizes. Golf prizes will be based
on the Calloway system (longest
drive and closest to the hole).
There also will be a blind bogey.

Reservation deadline is Aug. 20.
Members of the golf committee
are Damor Mitshkun, chairman;
Sam Gutterman, Joe Apell, Iry
Simen, Ted Vinacow, Roy Alex-
ander and Sam Winston.

In a recent ceremony held at the
Pick-Durant Hotel, Sheron Louise
Fishier of New York, was married
to Donald Sheldon Resnick of New
York. Rabbi Gerald Schuster of-
ficiated.
The newlyweds are the children
of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fishier
of Crestwood Dr., Flint, and Mr.
and Mrs. Edward Resnick of
Roanoke Ave., Southfield.
The bride's old world styled
gown was skirted with natural
linen. The narrow, long sleeves
featured applique of Venise lace
and matching lace formed a deep
Bertha capelet with high choker
neckline. A band of the lace was
entwined in her hair. She carried
her mother's wedding Bible with
lavender throated orchids, Steph-
anotis and Babies-Breath.
Emily Fishier, the bride's sister,
was maid of honor. Michael Res-
nick, the bridegroom's brother.
was best man. Ushers were Bruce
Fishier, the bride's brother; and
Jeffrey Resnick, the bridegroom's
brother.
The couple will live in New York.

Torch Drive money acts as seed
money — attracting funds from
other sources. Last year, the
United Foundation's 1G4 agencies
had total operating budgets of
$100,000,000, the first $28,000,000 of
which was raised during the
Torch Drive.

The pathetic part about it is
some college students find that
