Rabbi Max Schenk, a former
nersident of the New York Board of
Rabbis, was elected president of
'he American Jewish League for
Israel. lie succeeded Rabbi Isadore
Breslau of Washington, D.C., who
retired after serving four terms.

Samuel Rothberg was elected
chairman of the league's board of
directors and Eleazar Lipsky was
elected chairman of its executive.

day with Mme. Yosef Teknah, w ife of the Israel
ambassador of the UN. The Detroit Israel Bond
women's division sponsored the IN airlift and the

Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Spitz of
Franklin Park Dr., Franklin, an-

daughter Jill Elin Robinson to
Richard Howard Gould, son of

1935, has been awarded the annual
"Joust Van Den Vondel" Prize of
Muenster University in Westphalia

Shalom Award
at JNF-Bond Fete

Mrs. Pearl Nosan, Israel Bond
division sponsor chairman, will be
honored at the annual Women of
Jewish National Fund Israel Bond
luncheon noon June 13 at Cong.

She will be presented with the
Israel "Shalom" Award for her
many years of dedication to the
community, to the Jewish people
and to . the state of Israel.

vision. She served as chairman of
the 1969 Israel Bond Fashion Fes-
tival and has been a leading sup-
porter of Israel Bonds ever since
the initiation of the Israel Bond
Campaign in 1951. Mrs. Susan is
president of the Susan Building
Corp.
