Youni! people in grades 9-11 are
invited to join the ulpan, a daily
Hebrew teaching program to he
given at the Jewish Center, June
26-Aug IR
After the summer program, the
students continue their studies
twice a week throughout the year.
The fee covers this additional in-
struction. Many participants con-
tinue the ulpan the following sum-
mer, as a group, in Haifa. The fee
does not include this trip.
Students, upon successful com-
pletion of the course, can obtain
one year of language credit in high
school or college. If the student
continues the ulpan in Israel, he
will be eligible for a second year
of credit.
The St. Cloud
Audio-Visual
method is a modern approach to
language study. There is a lim-
ited number of openings. For reg-
istration, call the Hebrew depart-

Adas Shalom Synagogue will pre-
sent its last confirmation service in
its present structure 10 a.m. Sun-
day.

The confirmation class will pre-
sent the cantata, "In Freedom's
Light," written by Rabbi Jacob
E. Segal and edited and directed
by Rabbi Jonas Goldberg. The
musical portion of the program
is under the direction of Cantor
Sholom Kalib.

INTERIORS

The focus of activity at }fillet
is the daily rehearsal of the ninth
graders on their commencement
exercises. This year's 15 graduates
will present a contata about the
25th anniversary of Israel and the
15th anniversary of Hillel. The
7th and 8th grade choir will ac-
company the 9th graders' presen-
tation under the direction of Mrs.
Goldie Eskin.
The busy graduates are in a
flurry of activity. They are rais-
ing additional funds toward their
five-day trip to Washington, D.C.
Their efforts have been aided by
Wilfred Leon, who has donated
so much ice cream for the class
i to sell. Seniors washed cars to
ncrease their trip fund.
On Sunday. the 9th graders will
be going to Washington, D.C. for
their senior trip. While in Wash-
ington, the seniors plan to visit the
White House. the United States
Capital, Washington Monument
and other interesting places. All
of the travel arrangements were
handled by Mrs. David Margolin.
She has been busy meeting with
the students and finding the best
places for the students to see. The
students will he meeting with
