Purple Heart.
Dr. Fill, a 32nd degree Mason,
also serves as a director of the
Michigan United Fund, and is a
member of the committee on
housing for the elderly.
He is a leader of Bnai Brith and
the men's club of Temple Emanu-
El.

David Rosen to Head
American Association
on Mental Deficiency

David Rosen, superintendent of
the Macomb-Oakland Mental Re-
tardation Center, has been named
president-elect of the 8,000 mem-
ber American Association on Men-
tal Deficiency. The announcement
was made by outgoing AAMD
President Robert Erdman at the
association's annual meeting in
Minneapolis.
Rosen. who maintains temporary
offices in Southfileld, is complet-
ing final planning for the $13,000,-
. 000 Macomb-Oakland Center, ex-
pected to get under way later this
I year.
His 23 years in the mental re-
tardation field began in 1949 as
a teacher and work-study co-
ordinator for handicaped children
in
the Vineyard, N.J., public
school district.
