exit of a Can American jet that
had been hijai•ked by armed Arab
terrorists in Amsterdam and flown
to Cairo

The too women. Mrs Maria Sal-
mon and her mother. Mrs. Celia
do Assen, were hurt when the
plane suddenly lurched forward as

evacuation was in progress.
The jury held that the airline
was responsible for the accident
because crew members had in-
structed the 152 passengers to
leave the plane by the emergency
chute. Hijackers later blew up the
plane.

sented to two Jews, Dr. Tossif As-
troukov and Mrs. Renata Natan.
on the occasion of the 80th anni-
versary of the Bulgarian Commun-

Dr. Astroukov, a journalist, is
president of the Social and Cul-
tural Organization of Bulgarian
Jews Both recipients are veteran
members of the Communist move-

Many Jewish personalities par-
ticipated in a recent meeting here
of the seventh Congress of the
Bulgarian National Front. They
included Dr. Astroukov, who is a
