Mrs. Weine also will be cited for her work as a librarian in the Jewish field. She organized the Jewish Library Association of 1 , Greater Philadelphia and was its president; served as president of the Association of Jewish Libra- , ries, a national organization; and is author of the Weine Classifica- tion Scheme for Jewish libraries. Upon the Weines' retirement, the Beth Israel library, where Mrs. Weine has been librarian for more than 18 years, has been renamed for her. The Camden Jewish Community Voice, in an editorial, described Rabbi Weine as ''a man who has always placed service to his peo- ple above material things for him- self." His colleagues, said the ed- itorial, consider him "as the one who most completely exemplifies the role of the rabbi in Jewish life."
