24th anniversary of independence.

MRS. GARY BAKER

Sheryl Herman became the bride
of Gary David Baker in a recent
evening ceremony at Cong. Beth
Abraham. Rabbi Israel Halpern
and Cantor Shabtai Ackerman of-
ficiated.

The new Mrs. Baker is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman
Herman of Hardy Ave., Livonia.
Mr. Baker is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Norman A. Baker of Grand
Concourse Dr., Southfield.

The bride wore a silk organdy
gown with Alencon lace em-
broidered with pearls and crys-
tals. The Empire bodice was
fashioned with a wedding band
collar, A-line skirt and a flowing
chapel train. A matching lace
cap held a French silk illusion
veil. She carried a bouquet of
orchids and stephanotis.

Sheree Baker, the bridegroom's
sister, was maid of honor. Brides-
maids were Mrs. Alan Herman and
Mrs. Lloyd Herman, sister-in-law
of the bride: Dianne Linda, the
bride's cousin; Joanne Kolodziej;
Laura Altschul; and Leda Mar-
golin. Bruce Baker, the bride-
groom's brother, was best man.
Ushers were Alan and Lloyd Her-
man, the bride's brothers; Dean
Weingust, Al Siegel, Bruce Levine
and Craig Balbes.
The couple honeymooned in
Toronto.
