Israel's prize -winning musical,
- "Only Fools Are Sad," April 23-27
and 29.
Brought to America under the
patronage of Prime Minister Gokta
Meir, "Only Fools Are Sad" is an
English-language version of a play
that won the equivalent of a Tony
award in Israel.
It is an anthology, based on old
hasidic tales, fables and songs,
which were told and sung in Yid-
dish in Eastern Europe during the
18th and 18th centuries.
