Infants Service Group Philanthropies
to Benefit From Annual Cherub Ball

Infants Service Group, a group
of women who provide clothing,
food and other supplies for infants
of indigent families, from birth to
age 5, will hold its-annual -dinner-
dance, the Cherub Ball, April 30
at the Raleigh House.
A 6 p.m. cocktail hour will pre-
cede dinner. Mrs.- David Riseman
is producer-choreographer of the
entertainment, which will feature
ISO members in a mini-revue.
_ The ISG "Crier,'.' the club's

yearbook, will be distributed
during the evening. Proceeds
from the yearbook, together with
ticket _sales, comprise nearly all '

Cathy Jean Brody became the
bride of James Lee Deutchman
Sunday afternoon at Cong. Shaarey
Zedek. Rabbi Irwin Groner and
Cantor Jacob Barkin officiated.
The new Mrs. Deutchman is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Brody of Afton Rd. Mr. Deutch-
man is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Bernard Deutchman of Shaker
Heights, 0.
The bride wore her mother's
gown of silk satin fashioned with
long, fitted sleeves, scalloped Bas-
que and bouffant skirt. Seed pearl
embroidery outlined the bateau
neckline, the pearls forming flow-
er designs on the fitted bodice and
sleeves. She wore a toque head-
piece with a matching cage veil
and carried a cascade of gardenias,
Stephanotis, and Gotsifiana foliage.

In a recent afternoon ceremony
at the Raleigh House, Susan Rayne
Matlin was married to Raymond
Alan Weiss. Rabbi Milton Arm
and Canton Simon Bermanis of-
ficiated.
The new Mrs. Weiss is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Matlin of Southfield Rd., South-
field. Mr. Weiss is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Alexander Weiss of
Franklin Hills Dr., Southfield.
The bride wore a lily of the val-
ley embroidered English net gown
with a pleated flounce of silkened
organdy on sleeves and hemline.
The veil was a short mantilla
trimmed with lace. She carried
roses, baby's breath, stephanotis
and trailing ivy.
Debbie Matlin, the bride's sis-
ter, was maid of honor. Mrs.
Daniel Blank was matron of
honor. Sizzle Friedman, Adele
Jaffa and Michele Rowan were
bridesmaids.
Alan Blumberg was -best man.
Daniel Blank, Alan Kohn, Mike
Rase and Barry Sonne were ushers.
The couple honeymooned in
Puerto Rico and St. Thomas.
