has been signed .by producers

to sing the title tune for "Catch a
Pebble," El Sol Productions' new
love story filmed on location in
Istael. James F. Collier directed.
Marilyn and Alan Bargman
wrote the lyric to Michel Lagrand's
music.

Kaminska; 'world-renowned Yid-

theater in;.Philidelphil. Six per
form ances of "Mirele Efros"
Monday to March . 26 will be
brought -here through the efforts
of the YM/YWHA branch of the
Jewish Ys and Centers.
Miss Kaminska, the lead, is the
grand lady of Yiddish theater in
the world today. An actress for
55 years, she managed and direct-
ed the Jewish State Theater of
Poland from 1946 until she emi-
grated in 1969.
Her portrayal of the old woman
in the film "The Shop on Main
Street- was a world success and
brought her a nomination for the
Best Actress Academy Award in
1967.

NEW YORK,. (JTA)—Kosher
food will be provided to elderly
Jews under Federal auspices for
the first time when the Bratemas-
Pepper-Kennedy bill, which has
been approved by both House and
Senate, is signed by President
Nixon, according to- the Office for
the Aging of New York City.
The bill provides for expenditure
of $10,000,000 in fiscal 1972 and
$13,000,000 in . 1973 to provide nu-
tritious meals for the elderly in
New York State. Half of that sum Jewell Chorale to Honor
is expected to go to New York City.
