on Holidays Clarified

NEW YORK (JTA)—A resolu-
tion recently adopted by the Co-
lumbia University Senate requests
university officials to- avoid con-
flicts between all Jewish holidays
and academic affairs such as
examinations, registration and con-
vocations, and it requires that ade-
quate alternative arrangements be
made by the university in the
event that unavoidable conflicts
arise:
But, contrary to an earlier re-
port, classes may still be ached:
