Despite all the hoopla about Jew-
ish studies programs, the actual
results have been minimal and dis-
appointing.
Unless the American Jewish
community wants to see a continued
erosion of Jewish values among its
young people, it must be willing
to undertake a serious reordering
of its priorities, with greater em-
phasis being placed on Jewish edu-
cation.
If the Jewish community is un-
willing to do what must be done, it
