part 'teach-in series will open 8
p.m. Wednesday with a lecture,
"Why a SPace Scientist Became
a Hasid," by Dr. Velvet Greene
of the University of Minnesota.
On Feb. 23, at 8 p.m., Dr. Irving
Block of the University of West-
ern Ontario will tell "Why an
Aristotelian Philosopher Became a
Hasid."
A dialogue titled "To Question
a Rabbi," will be held 9 p.m.

Brothers Reunited
After 60 Years
After being separated more than
50 years, three brothers recently
Were reunited in Oak Park.
Samuel Manis, 82, of Nadine
Ave., played host to his brothers,
Gdala Manisewitz, 62, of Buenos
Aires and Peter Manisewitz, 73, of
Brooklyn.
Manis, who is a sexton at Beth
Shalom synagogue, had not seen
Gdala since he left Russia in 1913.
In 1923, Peter left Russia for
Buenos Aires. Gdala eventually
immigrated to Buenos Aires.
The brothers have corresponded
with each other for many years
until the long-awaited reunion.
