named Sander Leviii to lead the
Muskie for President campaign in
Michigan.

Levin represented South Oakland
County in the State Senate for six
years and was the unsuccessful
Democratic candidate for governor.
in 1970. He now is in private law
practice serving of counsel to the

law offices of Jaffe, Snider,„Raitt,
Garratt and Heuer.
Levin stated that the Muskie
for President Committee office
will be located in the Kales Build-
ing in Detroit.

Rabbi Shalom Goldstein, princi-
pal of Beth Jacob School, address-
ed the annual Torah U'Mesorah
Conference in Chicago last week-
end.
Speaking on the topic of estab-
lished priorities in the education
of girls, he said, "Jewish teen-
age' girls have problems of faith,
problems of social behavior, prob-
lems of social values—besides the
whole gamut of problems that
every teen-ager experiences in the
process of maturing. It is the duty
of the Jewish educator to address
himself to these problems and help
the youngster resolve them, wheth-
er or not they verbalize them to
their teachers or administrators.'
Rabbi Goldstein stated that never
have Jewish teen-agers questioned
and criticized their parents to the
extent they do today. And unless
"we will be successful in restor-
ing the Torah viewpoint of honor-
ing one's father and mother, our
people are in danger of losing their
youth to strange cultures and re-
