Born in Germany and having studied in the Hamburg Academy of Fine Arts, Rachel Cegla came to Israel in 1933. Her husband also came from Germany that year. They met in Israel shortly after their arrival there- Mrs. Cegla made study tours to Italy and Turkey as well as the United States.
