Ambassador and Mrs. Sargent Shriven and their two sons, Mark and Anthony, tisk a sena
Arab patient in the pedlatrie department at the Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical -Center. with
Prof. Alex Russell, department head. The Shrivers were particularly interested in Arab-Jewish rela-
tions and Hadassalh's work with "high-risk" infants and children. Mrs. Shriven, sister of John F.
Kennedy, was "touched and honored" that the hospital's reception center is named after her late
brother. Dr. .Russell opened a 35-bed children's hospital in Ramallah on behalf of the Israel Ministry of
Health, working through the military administration. This is staffed Jointly by loral Arab and
Hadabsah doctors, who daily visit the hospital as consultants. The more serious cases are brought for
treatment to Hadassah. While Mr. and Mrs. Shriven talked with Prof. Russell, the two boys taught
some of the ambulatory patients, Jewish and Arab, how to play American football.
