The first religious 'service was
held on Friday evening, Jan. 18,
1952, at Burton School in-Hunt-
ington Woods. The temple was
formed because families living
in southern Oakland County and
Northwest Detroit recognized
that this area had its own needs

for religious services, school and ,
social activities.

People of all faiths helped the
new congregation to get estab-
