Under the direction of Sixten
Ehrling, the Detroit Symphony
Orchestra gave a magnificent pre-
sentation of the Brucker Symphony
at the concerts last Thursday and
Saturday.
A long, near-an hour. symphony
("Romantic ), its direction re-
quired _great skill and it was
evident that the conductor was
worn and fatigued.
Then came the highlight of the
concert—the appearance of Itzhak
Perlman, the great Israeli violinist.
