Hadassah Bids Adieu
to Christian Volunteer
JERUSALEM—The holiday sea-
son at the Hadassah Hospital here
contained a strain of sadness - this
year for its women volunteers,
YAAL, because it included a fare-
well party for a friend, Mrs. Edwin
Kenley. Mrs. Kenley is the wife of
the administrator of the Anglican
Church property in Jerusalem, who
has been transferred to Cyprus.
The Kenleys are veteran Jeru-
salemites, and Mrs. Kenley has
been a staunch YAAL volunteer
since the women's auxiliary's in-
ception.
Mrs. Kenley was given a musical
box decorated with reproductions
of the famous Chagall windows of
the synagogue of the Medical Cen-
ter.

Dvorak's New World Symphony
will provide the theme for the next
dinner in Temple Kol Ami's Gour-
met Dinner Series Jan. 15.
Based this on a musical theme,
the annual series consists of three
sophisticated potluck subscription
dinners throughout the year. Three
suppers are held simultaneously,
accommodating a total of 30 mem-
bers each time. Each hostess sup-
plies the main dish based on the
theme, and the guests bring side
dishes, wines and dessert. Names
are pulled out of a bat so that
guests vary each time.
Chairman this year is Mrs. Helen
Steinberg, assisted by Mrs. Jan
Gitlin.
Out of the gourmet series has
grown a Temple Kol Ami cook-
book.
