NY Group Buys Control of Israeli Rayon Plant TEL AVIV (JTA)—A group of New York investors, headed by Irwin S. Meltzer, has purchased the Israeli government's majority interest in the Rogosin rayon mill at Ashdod. The Americans paid $6,600,000 for 78 per cent of the company stock of which $1,400,000 is in cash and the balance is to be paid in six equal installments at 8 per cent interest.
