James H. Wiseman of Fairway f)r., was the honored guest at a testi-
monial reception at Mayor Gribbs' Manoogian Mansion Saturday
evening. Mr. Wineman was cited for his involvement in civic affairs
including: Detroit Convention Bureau board (chairman), Civic Center
Commission, Central Business District Association, Mayor's Health
Care Advisory Commission, United Foundation, Grace Hospital (trustee),
Stadium Development Committee and Greater Detroit Chamber of
Commerce.
Dr. and Mrs. Roger Fenton, interning in Phoenix, joined his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Fenton of Bonstelle Ave., Southfield, in Las
Vegas for a few days, and then spent several days with them and his
wife's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Soberman of Canterbury Rd. The
Sam Fentons held a brunch at Shenandoah Country Club to celebrate
the engagements of their son Mark to Sheila Short and of Joey Wein-
berg to Vickie Lenhardt. The Roger Fentons also were present.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Shalit of N. Park Dr., Southfield, will be hon-
ored later this month on their 50th wedding anniversary by their chil-
dren, Dr. and Mrs. Sidney P. Shear of Beverly Hills, Calif.
The Bodzin Family Club will hold its annual Hanuka party 8 p.m.
Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Blitz of Sutherland Ave.,
Oak Park.
Former .Detroiter, Seymour L. Muskovitz, is practicing law in
Grand Rapids. Muskovitz, who recently passed the bar examination
for Michigan, is affiliated with Clary, Nance and Wood.
Isidore and Samuel Rosenthal of Cadillac Sq. Apartments are visit-
ing in Israel.

Israel Seeks Integration of Immigrants' Children
TEL AVIV (JTA)—Joseph Klar-
man, head of the Jewish Agency's
youth aliya department, announced
a $5,900,000 program to help inte-
grate the children of new immi-
grants and close the social gap for
youngsters from underprivileged
families.
Klarman said the difficulties
faced by the children of immigrants
from the U.S. in being integrated
with other children was often a
major reason why families re-
turned to America. He said his de-
partment was helping new immi-
grant families whose children are
now taken by youth aliya and that
about 11 per cent of the children
of American emigrees are at youth
aliya institutions.
