pleasant but equally as important,
was the one which included the
pogrom against the Jews. This
must have •been especially shat-
tering to the hearts of those in the
audience who personally experi-
enced similar or worse tragedies
in the first half of this century.
I feel that it is important to under-
stand what happened and why such
tragedies occurred. We must not
allow another physical or spiritual
holocaust to occure in Russia,
Israel, or elsewhere.
- - Above all, I believe the movie
demonstrated that the Jews do
not have to seek a place of Juda-
ism; they take it with them whet*:
ever they go.

8th Grade
Due to the requests of a number
of students last year, Billet now
has a counselor by the name of
Beverly Stone. Mrs. Stone has
been counseling junior high stu-
dents for the last five years. Prior
to that, she was an English teach-
er.
At present, Mrs. Stone is avail-
able to all junior high sutdents on
Monday and Wednesday mornings.
Many , appointments have already
been made as Mrs. Stone tries to
solve each student problem indi-
vidually. A counselor has long
been needed, and Mrs. Stone is
proving to be an important addi-
tion to our school.

I feel that the film was not
only enjoyable but also educa-
tional. It showed, for example,
the, spiritual wonders of a tradi-
tioal Shabat — a day of tran-
quility and rest, a day when one
is not a slave to business or the
telephone, but only a servant to
God. This Shabat scene brought
many tears to the eyes of both
young and old, who shared a
beautiful experience.
