TEL AVIV (JTA )—A hand gre- ,
nade with a timing device was
found on a bus in the Central Bus
Terminal here and safely disman-
tled minutes before it was set to
explode.
The bus had just arrived from
the Judaea and Ramallah region
with 14 passengers when the driver
noticed a suspicious looking object
attached to a spare wheel at the
rear of the vehicle and summoned
police. Bomb squad experts found
the device wrapped in nylon.
Police searched the terminal
area and are conducting investi-
gations at the nine towns where
the bus stopped en route to Tel
Aviv. The bus was carrying
workers from the West Bank.
Two Arab infiltrators were killed
near Eilaboun village in Upper ;
Galilee in a clash with an Israeli I
border police patrol and army
patrols. The Israeli units were
searching for a gang of four ter-
rorists known to have entered Is-
rael from Lebanon.
