Keywell, for more than 50 years a prominent real estate builder and investor here, died Nov. 25 at the age of 84. Funeral services were held Sunday at Kaufman ChapeL Charles Komer, 73; Theaters Founder Charles A. Kamer, founder and former co-owner and president of the Community Theaters, died Sun- day at age 73. Mr. Komer, -32249 Wolloughby, Farmington, was a native Detroit- er. He was a member of the Variety Club and formerly the Franklin Hills Country Club. He had been retired for the past 14 years. Surviving are his wife, Barbara; three sons, Myron and Adolph and Richard Rice; a daughter, Mrs. Martin (Barbara) Madvin; two brothers, Harry and Nathan; four sisters, Sarah, Bessie, Marion and Bertha; and seven grandchildren. Evelyn Fishman, 59 Evelyn Fishman, a member of many Jewish organizations, died Nov. 26 at age 59. Born in Utica, N.Y., Mrs. Fish- man was a member of Cong. Shaarey Zedek and its sisterhood, Hadassah and City of Hope. She lived at 6815 Orinoco, Birming- ham. Mrs. Fishman leaves her hus- band, Samuel; a son, Merrill; a daughter, Mrs. Hanley (Susan) Yorke; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ruben (Nettie) Newman; a broth- er, Albert; a sister, Mrs. Irving (Jeanette) Ross; and seven grand- children. Bnai David-he headed the con- gregation when the edifice on 14th and Elmhurst was erected - he served in recent years on the board of Cong. Adas Shalom where he set up the Henry and Rose Key- well Fund. Mr. Keywell was a life member of Young Israel. He was a member of Perfection Lodge 486 F&AM, Detroit Consistory Moslem Temple, Knights of Pythias Lodge 55 and many Jewish movements. He had been active in politics, he befriended governors and con- gressmen and took part in civic, Jewish and philanthropic move- ments. Mrs. Grubner, Mother of Orthodox Rabbi Ruchla Grubner, mother of Rabbi Chaskel Grubner, executive di- rector of the Council of Orthodox Rabbis of Detroit, died Wednesday at age 86. Mrs. Grubner, 14100 Sherwood, Oak Park, was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of Yeshivath Beth Yehu- dah, Nshei Agudath Yisrael and the ladies' auxiliary of the Luba- vitcher Organization. Born in Kra- kow, Poland, Mrs. Grubner lost four children and eight grandchil- dren during World War II. She made it to Russia, remaining there until 1948, when she came to the U.S. Mrs. Grubner was the widow of Rev. Simon Grubner, a Detroit shohet, who died 15 years ago. Besides her son, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Izak (Leah) Sil- ver and Mrs. Pinchas (Ziporah) Kaner of Bnei Brak, Israel; 13 grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren. Interment IsraeL Mary Axelrod, 103 Mary Axelrod, a Detroit resi- dent since 1914, died Sunday at age 103. - Mrs. Axelrod had 17 grand- children, 30 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
