A team .from Alma College and
the community of Alma, Mich.,
participated in an archeological
expedition at the mound of biblical
Beersheba, under the auspices of
TeI Aviv University.
The expedition, which involved
students throughout the world, dis-
covered the city gate, a series of
city walls, the water system, store-
houses and other objects of biblical
and historical interest.
Included in the Alma group were
faculty members Rev. Dr. Joseph
G. Walser' associate professor
of religion; and Dr. Paul L. Split-
stone, associate professor of chem-
istry.
