The programs and aims of 3W VA in Michigan include a scholarship program for veter- ans' children; service to veterans hospitals, children's institulions and the USO; assistance to veter- ans and their families in need; and aid to Israel's Tel Hashomer Hospital and Beersheba Rest Home, for Israeli war veterans. For an invitation, prospective members may call the JWV office, Mrs. Kole, 255-4743. • • • The Department of Michigan is planning a mass "package-in" for 8 p.m. Dec. 1 at the JWV office. Members of all posts and auxilia- ries will assemble several hundred holiday gift packages to be sent to U.S. servicemen in Vietnam and Korea. Chairman of packages for Viet- nam is Mrs. Jack Goyer, and co- chairman is Mrs. Benjamin Rubin. There is an urgent need for the c:to ye names and addresses of service- men who are serving in Vietnam and Korea. Anyone with such in- forination may call the JWV office taught on the world's major re- ligions in the high schools of the province. The curriculum lists Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam in that order as accept- able classroom subjects and ,ad- vises teachers to be objective and sympathetic while teaching them.
