in Jerusalem. The ambulances are
constructed . to allow physicians to
attend patients during their trans-
portation to the hospital, this being
the most crucial time of life or
death in the heart patient's care.
Designed to be intensive cardiac
care "wards" on wheels, the am-
bulances will contain telemetry
equipment to monitor •the patient's
condition through
gram and send the data, as it -is
taken to the Hadassah Hospital
via radio. The telemetry equip-
ment also contains a channel for
the cardiologist in the hospital to
radio instructions to the attending
physician as the ambulance speeds
the patient to his destination.
The Magen David Adom-Hadas-
sah program will supplement a
similar experiment scheduled for
Tel Aviv and environs, combining
Ragen David Adorn Cardiac Care

Mobile Units with the Beilinson
Hospital.
A request has been made to
American Red Mogen Dovid for
Israel to obtain contributions for
10 fully equipped Intensive Cardiac
Care Mobile Units which are need-
ed this year in Israel.
