"THE THIRD TEMPLE"
An unusual multiple projector-stereophonic
Music programme — in colour
An inspiring message of Israel's National Destiny.
Y.M.C.A — West Jerusalem • Saturday, October 16, 8.30 p.m.
Free Admission
• •Ick4 was much more than an invitation to a presentation of the
views of Christian Zionists on the subject of prophetic redemption:
it marked continuity of a fascinating story that originated in Detroit.
The presentation at the YMCA here was the second for the
Third Temple" interpretation by the Christian Bible students, one
of wl.nse leaders is Ken Wade, who is a staff member of CKLW.
•..a Aug. 26, the Zionist Organization of Detroit first sponsored
the ..towing of the "synchronized electronic audio-visual program" and
some 300 people had an opportunity to hear the Christian Bible stu-
dents present, as the invitation stated:
"A confirmation of the scriptural promises and prophecies con-
cerning Israel's national destiny."
The Christians themselves had the program printed both in
English and Hebrew. Four days before the showing the locale had to
be changed to Cong. Bnai David—because the screen was much too
larreior the Zionist Cultural Center.
•
Lee J. Cobb, the famed actor-narrator-producer, came from Cali-
fornia to view the showing here, and afterward he encouraged its
enlargement for national presentations.
The show then was kept off the record. The Christian Bible
Students had planned a visit to Israel to make their presentation and
were going to Cairo first to visit the pyramids. They could not risk
being known as Christian Zionists—until their showing in Israel.
They came to Israel—and they had many difficulties. They had
shipped 1,400 pounds of equipment, before even having been promised
a place for the showing, and they paid $1,800 to make the shipment.
They could not retrieve their equipment because of the strike at the
customs office. Millions of dollars worth of material was strewn all
over the customs area by people who intruded to find their belong-
ings.
