The suit was filed in the U.S.
District Cotnit for the District of
Columbia. It , asks the court to
order release of, studies made by
government officials and Rand
Corp. which involve "deployment
of American armed forces per-
sonnel to the Middle East or the
use of nuclear weapons in the
area." =
Deadline for a government reply
is Dec. 8.

Hebrew' , Ceurse Proposal

Supporters of Hebrew instruc-
tion in Oak Park and Southfield
high schools, feel they are making
headway. ,
Jack Gunsaulus, ehairman of the
Hebrew Action League, said that
school boards in both communities
are actively studying proposals to
introduce Jewish studies courses.
In response to his request, said
Gunsaulus, the Oak Park Board
of Education has set up a study
committee, and the Southfield
board has referred the request to
a curriculum development council.
He added that students in Oak
Park, Southfield and Southfield-
Lathrup high schools have con-
veyed their 'support of such
courses.
Gunsaulus said he can be reached
for information at PO Box 1041,
