will be held during each two-hour
session.
Rabbi Joel Pouko, associate di-
rector of the Bnai Brith Hillel
Foundation at the University of
Michigan, will discuss "Poets.
Prophets and Madmen: Tales of
Hasidic Masters." He himself is
the great-great-grandson of Rabbi
Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev, one
of the teachers to be studied.
Prof. Shmuel Raz of the Bet
Midrash at Ann Arbor will speak
on "The Israelis: Founders and
Sons," based on the best-selling
book by Amos Elon. The course
will deal. with current social and
political concerns of Israel
within the framework of history:
Six Days Plus Four Years;
Israel's Black Panthers: Why?;
and HMOs and Doves in Israel.
"Enduring Values in Jewish His-
.- tory" will be taught by Dr. Irving
Panush, director of the humanities
division at Macomb Community
College.
"Modern Jewish Literature: an
Introduction" will be taught by
Prof. Helen Schwartz of Oakland
University.
A special seminar on "Judaism:
the School and the Home" will be
offered for,,pare,nts of first and
second grade' students in religious
school. Rabbis Irwin. Groner and
Gerald Teller provide an
orientation to theschool curricu- ,
hen.
A three-part lecture series fea-
turing Dr. Abraham Kaplan, pro-
