THE PLANNING DIVISIONS OF FEDERATION HELP CO-ORDINATE
AGENCY SERVICES - REVIEW BUDGETS FOR ALLOCATION OF FUNDS
KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR FUTURE COMMUNITY NEEDS
Capital Needs Committel
Charged with considering the many requests from member
agencies for new buildings; repairs and renovation of existing struc-
tures, the Committee must balance the existing capital funds from
the Federation budget against the priority of agency needs. For the
past few years, because of other urgent needs, insufficient amounts
may have been set aside by the community for capital needs. With
the relocation plans of some agencies and the aging of various build-
ings, the Committee has had to utilize all its ingenuity in meeting
the capital requests of the member agencies.

in Detroit which provide formal Jewish education programs and to a group of national
agencies which promote cultural and educational activities of interest to Detroiters.
Like most dynamic institutions, educational emphasis changes with the times. Working
with educators, the Division also seeks to coordinate and plan for future Jewish
education on an inter-agency and inter-school basis.
