The Detroit Service Group is the year-round organiza-
tion of the Allied Jewish Campaign-Israel Emergency
Fund.

The annual Stag Day held September 8, 1971 at
Franklin Hills Country Club gave campaign workers a
chance to get together for a day of good fellowship and
receive recognition for their efforts.

Traditionally, a silver loving cup is awarded at the
Stag Day dinner to the campaign division which exceeds
its prior year's campaign total by the greatest percentage.
The Professional Division headed by Jack A. Robinson,
chairman, was the 1971 winner. Mementos of appreciation
were presented to all division chairmen and leaders of
the campaign.

A group of 41 men and women made up the 1971
Detroit Service Group's Israel Survey Tour in October
1971. A specially arranged and .:.inducted tour visits
social services and agencies and hears government and
military officials discuss the present situation and prob-
lems in Israel. The tour also visited the Joint Distribution
Committee's installations in Vienna where emigrants from
Eastern European countries are processed and sent on to
Israel or the country of their choice.
