JERUSALEM The Scroll - of
Fire monument in the -Martyrs!
Forest sponsored by 'Bnai Brith,
recently was dedicated unofficially
in the presence of William- A. Wex-
ler,', international 'president, and
officers "- of the organization from
Israel and abroad.
The -28-foot-high: 18-ton bronze
sculpture' is in the formof a tra-
ditional Jewish -scroll depicting the
Holoaaust and the resurgence- of
the Jewish people with the estab-
lishment of the slate of Israel; •
The monument is the work of
sculptor Nathan. Rappaport, who
also created' the Warsaw Ghetto
memorial and numerous other
works. -
The official dedication of the'
Scroll -of Fire will be held next
winter with_ the participation of
Bnai Brith members throughout
the world.

William Stone and his poker pals
have yielded up another $925 for
their favorite kitty: -the Israel
Emergency Fund. ,
Stone, 77, and 19 other senior
adults form a daily "minyan." For
the past three years, they have
been playing on nice days in the
park--first in Palmer Perk, then
in Oak Park Municipal Park ---
turning the proceeds over to the
Allied Jewish Campaign. -They're
currently negotiating for an indoor
site, so they may continue- to play
during Um winter months.-
Stone, a retired electrician, said
the group has raised almost $3,800
