pression of their awareness of the
deprivation suffered by Soviet
Jewry.
At Cong. Beth Israel, at the con-
clusion of the Musaf- service, Rabbi
Ghbert Kollin,Cantor_Joseph Berk-
holtz and President Murry Moss
led the congregants to the Mall in
front of Whiting Auditorium. At

Temple Beth El, Rabbi Gerald
Schuster, Cantor Herbert Krauss
and President Marvin Faller led
their proce.ssion to the front of the
temple for a silent prayer, and the
sliofar was sounded.
As part of their sermons, each
rabbi outlined current conditions
in Russia and urged attendance at
the community demonstration 9
