Center Book Fairs front 1952
through 1971 will be honored at
the 20th anniversary Book Fair to
be held at the CenterNov. 6-14.
Those to be-honored and the
years they served are: Mrs' Harry
L. Jackson, 1952-54; Dr. Norman
Drachler, 1955-57; Morris Garvett
(posthumously),1958-60; - Mrs.
Arthur Rice, 1901-62; Mrs. Arthur
I. Gould, 1963, 64, 67; Mrs. -Victor

Mrs. Julian Tobias,
1966-67; Mrs. Henry Berris, 1968-
70; Mrs. Charles Abramson, 1971;
and Mrs. Samuel Babcock, 1971.
As in past - years, a large col-
lection of English, Hebrew and
Yiddish books will be on display
and for-sale throughout the week.,
- The programs are to be co-spon-
sored by -major.-Jewish organiza-
tions, including American Jewish
Congress, American Jewish Com-
mittee, sisterhoods of the metro-

will honor Rabbi Irwin Groner on
the occasion of his 40th birthday
at a stag dinner party 7 p.m. Oct.
19 in the synagogue. Cocktails and
buffet dinner will be followed by
entertainment presented by Cantor
Jacob Barkin and Cantor Emeri-
tus Jacob Sonenklar. Southfield
Mayor Norman Feder, a club
member, will present the rabbi
with a special key to the city and
a proclamation designating "Rabbi
Irwin Groner Day" in his city.
The Mighty Men's Club Art Play-
ers will present a comedy skit.
The party is free to paid-up club
