Pioneer . W.ornen '::Launches-

Mr& Gerald E. Goldberg, presi-
dent of the. Greater Detroit Coun-
cil of 'Pioneer Women, announces
the beginning of "the 1971 funds
campaign, which will culminate
Dec.. 16 with the annual donor
event. •
The Council target this year is
$80,000, as its contribution to the
international effort to maintain
1,000 Pioneer Women social serv-
ices installations in Israel.
Mrs. Goldberg is particularly
interested in two of the newest
efforts for social services
in Is-

rael. ■ The first is directed toward
the widows and orphans of soldiers
who died in the Six-Day War and
the second benefits young children
who live in border kibutzim.
` Vocational training schools,_
child care .centers and other
Pioneer Women services com-
prise 48 per cent of all such
activities in Israel.
Children from border kibutzim
are being provided with vacations
in safer areas. Pioneer Women
