Back from a trip to Israel, Sid-
ney M. Hiller, owner of Shopping
Center Markets, has brought back
several new kosher convenience
food items for his grocery shelves.
Among them are a vegetarian
lentil casserole (cholent) that can
be prepared in little over half an
hour and a vegetarian mushroom
risotto (rice) casserole that takes
10 minutes to cook. Both parve
products are by Osem of Bnei
Brak.
Other Israeli products Hiller is
carrying include gefilte fish; roast
or mushroom sauce; vegetarian
vegetable spread; seasoning; fela-
fel mix; humus and tehina dips;
onion, mushroom, vegetable and
consomme soup mixes; vanilla and
chocolate pudding; pure graph
juice; golden figs; and cookies.
They are made by both Osem and
Tel ma.
The store also has a wide selec-
tion of Kosher foods and wines.

Greeting Card Sale
to Benefit Program
of Retarded at Center

Rosh Hashana cards are on sale
again by Israelites, Israel Men,
Israel Girls and Detroiters, a so-
cial program for slow learners and
mentally retarded adults and young
adults at the Jewish Center. This
program is co-sponsored by North-
west Child Rescue Women.
Sale proceeds go toward the
tripping fund for members of these
programs. Members already have
visited Toronto, Washington, Chi-
cago and New York. Each trip is
a major highlight in the year's
activity, and the tripping fund
makes it possible for every mem-
ber to attend.
Three greeting card styles are
available this year, and personal
imprinting can be added.
For information, call the center
group services division, DI 1-4200.
