University New Books for Old Sale
today, Saturday and Monday be-

JDL Seeks Volumes

The Detroit chapter of the Jew-

ish Defense League is opening a
library in its office, 1799 Coolidge,
Berkley.
A league spokesman said the
major purpose will be to
provide Jews, particularly youth,
with a Jewish education, and to
help them to appreciate the Jewish
heritage. It also will 'be to combat
anti-Semitic propaganda on high
school and college campuses.
Those with books on Jewish his-
tory, culture or religion to donate
are asked to call the JDL office,
547-2663. Cash contributions also
are accepted, with checks sent to
the JDL Library Fund, P.O. Box
3703, Oak Park 48237.

About 34 per cent of Detroit's
1,731,000 workers are employed in
manufacturing, including 13 per
cent in automotive and related in-
