By telephoning the Social Secu-
rity office, said Sam Test, dis-
trict manager of the Detroit-North-
west office, a great deal of paper
work can be handled without a
personal visit.
These matters may include ap-
plications for benefits, change of
address for prompt delivery of
monthly checks, and general and
specific questions about Social
Security programs, including Med-
icare.
Test added that questions af-
fecting worker's retirement; Medi-
care, disability and survivors pro-
tection can be answered by "Tele-
service." The number for the De-
troit-Northwest Teleservice office

is 537-9310, Monday-Friday, 8:30
a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Some 625 passenger flights a
day leave or arrive at Detroit
airports, carrying over 7,000,000
passengers a year.
