of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Fisher,

will be served. Mrs. Fisher is

first membership meeting of the
season will be held 12:30 p.m.
Sept. 13 in the Northgate Apart-
ments clubroom. Petite lunch will
be served. The sisterhood bowling

In a recent wedding ceremony
at Bnai Emunah Synagogue in
Tulsa, Deena Marilyn Cohen mar-
ried Lenard Dale Canvasser.
Rabbi Norbert Rosenthal officiated.
The newlyweds are the chil-
dren of Dr. and Mrs. Eugene S.
Cohen of Tulsa; and Mr. and Mrs.
Darwin Canvasser of Dundee Ave.,
Huntington Woods.
The bride wore a Victorian gown
of peau d'ange lace. A ruffle of
pale yellow silk organdy outlined
the hem and sweep train, and
covered the bodice and short ruf-
fled sleeves.
Alencon lace appliqued with
crystal and pearl embroidery ac-
cented the empire waist and hem-
line above the ruffle. Her mantil-
la was of matching lace over
imported silk illusion.

She carried orchid's, lily of the
valley and tea roses.

Matron of honor was Mrs. Fred-
ric Weber of Detroit, the bride-
groom's sister. Bridesmaids were
Mrs. Kip Richards, Mrs. George
Singer of Cambridge, Mass.; Gayle
Goodman of Corpus Christy; Linda
Levy of New Orleans; and Lisa
Zarrow.
Paul Canvasser of Detroit served
as his brother's best man. Atten-
dants were the bride's brothers,
Fred and Randolph Cohen, Fred-
ric Weber, Sherwin Marks and
Ronald Zack, all of Detroit; and
Miles Schuman.
Ushers were Morton Cohen, Phil
Singerman of New Orleans and
Jeff Schecter of Chicago.
Following a honeymoon to Ber-
muda, the couple will reside in
Troy.

AL FUND will hold its first
board of directors meeting noon
Tuesday at the Zionist Cultural
Center. A petite luncheon will be
served by hostesses Mesdames
William Levin, Frank Silverman,
and Charles Friedenberg. Mem-
bership and Blue and White Box
clearance will be on the agenda.
Percy Kaplan, executive direc-
tor of the Jewish National Fund,
will report on his recent trip to
Israel and deliver a personal mess-
age from the Jerusalem office.

FIGHTERS will hold its annual
"Tag Days" Sept. 12-14. Canister
proceeds will be sent to the City
of Hope Medical Center to aid
the New Horizons program of ad-
vanced research, patient care and

stein of Pittsburgh announce the
engagement of their daughter Ron-
na Lynn to Stanley Martin Rosen-
baum, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Rosenbaum of San Juan Dr. Miss
Edelstein received her bachelor of
arts degree from the University
of Pittsburgh, and her masters of
arts in teaching degree from North-
western University. Mr. Rosen-
baum, a graduate of the Univer-
sity of Michigan, received his mas-
ter of arts degree in clinical psy-
chology from Northwestern. He
completed his internship in medi-
cal psychology at the University
of Oregon, and now studies in the
gaduate rabbinical school of the
Jewish Theological Seminary of
America. A June 1972 wedding is
planned.
