Cancer Research Urged

Editor, The Jewish News:
I am a patient at the American
Medical Center at Denver, an out-
standing hospital and research cen-
ter devoted to the conquest of
cancer. Since I have been in this
hospital, I have been aware of a
great deal of apathy on the part
of the American public to a dis-
ease which this year will claim
approximately seven times the
number of American lives lost in
the entire Vietnam war.
Unless rapid progress is made in
research, nearly every American
family will be touched in some
way by this dread disease. I would
like to receive letters from people
who are interested in a coopera-
tive effort in support of cancer
research. It is my contention that
we may be able to motivate one
another.
