entertainment stars in the history
of the Michigan State Fair is set
to kick off this year's fair pro-
gram, beginning Aug. 27.
E. J. "Jeff" Keirns, manager of
the Michigan State Fair, an-
nouncing the full slate of stars,
their appearance dates and show
times, • said: "Visitors to the
Michigan State Fair this year can
see and hear the most outstanding
names in show business today,
free of charge."
Stars like Tom Jones, Glen
Campbell, Bob Hope and others
will perform daily, and the price
of general admission to the fair
grounds covers admission to the
shows as well.
Keirns revealed that the talent
schedule will run as follows:

The Grogshop, 19th in Stouffer's
string of country pubs, will open
5 p.m. today at the Northland Inn.
Featuring hearty "sandwycfhes,"
tureens of hot soup and "pye," the
Grogshop promises to serve busy
business people and shoppers with-
in 10 minutes of being seated.
Even faster service is provided at
the bar or the counter around the
stage.
The Grogshop starts swinging at
cocktail time when live music
accompanies the fresh-seafood-and-
sandwich bar.
The Northland Inn Grogshop is
the second to open locally. A pub-
restaurant with a nautical theme
