(JTA) —Two Israeli machines which are expected, to revolutionize the diamond polish- ing industry were • demonstrated at the Haifa Conference on Mech- anical Engineer. The machines were deVeloped at the Haifa Technion's Diamond Research Laboratory by Professor Yeshaya Yarnitsky of the faculty of mechanical engineering. One of the machines flowlessly grinds and polishes the angled faces of a diamond: Until now, skilled workers had to sit at a revolving wheel and press onto it the diamond which is to be given polished faces.
