NON-BAKE DELICIOUS CAKE This dessert cake is known as "Charlotte" or "Diplomat" — and is outstanding with either name. It is made in a mold lined with lady- finger cookies and is filled with a mousse-y concoction that actually melts in your mouth. Little pieces of dried, candied fruits are nestled in there, adding flavor, texture as well as color. We have tried this classic non-bake cake with the non-dairy type of whipped cream with good results. This means that MRS. SUMMER COLESLAW Summer is the time when we are looking for light, easy and refresh- ing dishes. We want to be able to prepare the dish at our leisure and use it when we need it. And, we want the dish to be cool, crisp and appetite provoking. Well, we think that our summer coleslaw answers all those specifications. You can prepare it hours ahead and when you serve it, it will in- deed be tasty, refreshing and a nice change from the regular green salad. For eight to ten One medium head of cabbage (green) One medium onion Two bell peppers Six radishes Two big carrots One cup sour cream Three tsp. salt One tsp. sugar Two tbls. cider vinegar Ripe olives for garnish 1. Clean the vegetables and peel onions and carrots. Cut and discard the un- edible parts of the radishes and bell peppers. 2. Into a large bowl shred the cabbage very thinly. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Chop the onions into very small cubes. Dice the peppers and radishes into very small pieces. Mix all vegetables, cover the bowl with a plastic film and chill.
