With the understanding that the needs of Israel and the com-
munity must rely on a constant cash flow and not on pledges alone,
Murray Moss, chairman of the 1971 Flint United Jewish Appeal Cam-
paign, announced the formation of a cash collection committee chaired
by Dr. Eli Shapiro.
Dr. Shapiro stated that his committee would contact each person
with an outstanding balance in order to stimulate payment. "It is
only through prompt payment of our pledges that we can meet the
traditional humanitarian responsibilities that we have undertaken,"
stated Dr. Shapiro.
He continued, "Survival Means Sacrifice is the motto this year.
We are asking that each of us stretch to the point of sacrifice in
order to obtain the greatest possible cash flow. When a member of
our committee calls on you, please respond with understanding and
help us fulfill our promise of survival to our fellow Jews."
Serving on the committee with Dr. Shapiro are: Murray Moss,
Michael Pelavin, Dr. Leon Rosky, Dr: Jack Stanzler, Frank Kasle,
-tarry Binder, Dr. Ira Marder, Edward Powers, Jacob Pines, Dr.
Morton Stanley, Alfred Klein, Milton Weiss and Robert Gutterman.

Jewish Community Council joins
Regional Interfaith Broadcasting Unit

The Flint Jewish Community
Council has joined with other area
religious groups to establish the
Regional Ecumenical Broadcast-
ing Commission, (REBCO), it was
announced by Council President
Alfred Klein.
"Simply put, REBCO will pro-
vide a bridge of service between
the religious and broadcast com-
munities on an ecumenical level

Klein said.
Other participating faith groups
are American Baptist, American
Lutheran, Christian Reformed, Lu-
theran Church of America, Luther-
an Missouri Synod, Presbyterian,

Christ, United Methodist and Sagi-
naw and Lansing, United Church of

Rabbi Gerald Schuster officiated
at the marriage last Saturday eve-
ning of Roberta Sue Dodge and
Daniel Elihu Patt, at Temple Beth
El.
The bride is the daughter 'of
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dodge of
E. Court St., and her husband is
the son of Mr. Fred Patt of War-
rington Dr., Detroit, and the late
Mrs. Patt.
The bride wore a silk organza
gown with an Empire waist and
appliques of rose pointe lace
overlaying the square-necked
bodice. The full sleeves of hand-
tucked organza were caught
with deep cuffs of matching lace,
and silk heathcoate illusion veil-
ing fell to form the chapel train.
A spray of gardenias, Stepha-
notis and pink miniature roses
formed the bouquet.
Matron of honor was the bride's
sister, Mrs. Richard Roth of Ann
Arbor. Bridesmaids were another
sister, Mrs. Howard Abrams of
Chicago; Mrs. Patt Imerman, the
bridegroom's sister; and Mrs.
Jeremy Patt of Chicago.
Dr. Jeremy Patt, the bride-
groom's brother, was best man.
Ushers were Michael and Robert
Patt, the bridegroom's brothers;
and Richard Baker of Detroit.
The newlyweds plan to live in
Detroit.
