Joseph I. Dizik ; Active
at Temple Beth El

Joseph I. Dizik, longtime mem-
ber of Temple Beth El, died July
11 at age 59.
Born in New York City, Mr.
Dizik, 234 N. Woodland, Ferndale,
was a 35-year resident of Detroit.
He was a self-employed contract
furniture salesman.
Mr. Dizik served as an usher at
Temple Beth El for 25 years. He
was a past treasurer of its men's
club and a member of its cemetery
board.
He also was past president of
the Roosevelt Elementary School
PTA and the Lincoln Junior High
'School PTA, both in Ferndale.
He leaves two sons, Paul and
Edward.

Bradlin,Iligter Music, Dies at Age' 69

Harry G. Bradlirl' 19541 Cran-
brook, who died July 12, was
"Mister Music" in our community.
There were few concerts, operas,
symphony events and other func-
tions, whether by local or visiting
musicians, from which he was
absent.
And usually he had a large party
with him. He entertained for the
sake of music and he knew the
arts, gaining the credit of being
perhaps the most knowledgeable
layman on musical arts.
He was born in Russia 69 years
ago and lived in Detroit for 50
years. But he retained his knowl-
edge of Russian and was sort of an
authority on Russian ways of life.
He was a member of the boards
of directors of the Detroit Sym-
phony Orchestra and the Detroit
Grand Opera Association. He took
a deep interest in the Balfour Con-
certs and as a former piano teach-

Regi Kassel Yanich,
Miami Artist, Teacher

Regi Kassel Yanich, a native
Detroiter who had been prominent
in the Miami Jewish community
as an artist, teacher and Israeli
folk dancing instructor, died July
3 of injuries received in an ac-
cident on the Florida Turnpike.
Mrs. Yanich, 40, was the wife
of Yusi Yanich, director of the
southeast region of the American
Jewish Congress. Burial was to
take place in Jerusalem, where
she had lived from 1953 to 1957.
She moved to Florida in that year
and became well known as an
artist and sculptress.
Mrs. Yanich was graduated from
the Chicago Fine Arts Institute,
Wayne State University, Cranbrook
School of Arts and the University
of Michigan.
Nationally, her work was in-
cluded in shows at the Cranbrook
Academy here, at the Chicago Art
Institute, Mint Museum in Raleigh,
N.C. and High Museum in Atlanta.
Creator of "The Wall That Love
Built" at Barry College, she also
was art director for Temple Is-
rael Religious School and Temple
Emanuel Irving Lehrman Day
School in Miami.
A fund has been established in
her name by the American Jew-
ish Congress for "spreading the
beauty of the Jewish culture among
young people." (Regi K. Yanich
Foundation, P.O. Box 1056, North
Miami, 33161).
Surviving besides her husband
are four children, Noah, Yael,
Eitan and Yoav; and her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Kassel.

Egon Fink, 65; Member
of JDC Staff 25 Years

VIENNA—Egon Fink, Joint Dis-
tribution Committee repesentae`
here since 1957, died July 2 at age

65.

Born and educated here, Mr.
Fink fled to France prior to World
War II. He joined the French For-
eign Legion in 1939, serving on the
eastern Sahara front, and later
fought in the Resistance.
Mr. Fink joined the staff of the
JDC at Bergen-Belsen in 1946. He
was liaison officer there between
the JDC and the Central Commit-
tee of Liberated Jews in the
British Zone of Germany.
In 1949, he moved to Casablanca
to become assistant director for
JDC-Morocco. After the Hunplian
revolution Mr. Fink returned to
Vienna in 1959 to help the thou-
sands of refugees who came here.
